OUR STORY
Jodie Daley has worked in the Hospitality industry for over twenty years. From humble beginnings in the Front of House and apprentice Cheffing to Weddings, Corporate Functions, Bistro and Fine Dining; Jodie has done it all!
However it wasn’t until a backpacking around holiday Europe working in a variety of pubs and restaurants that she began to realise this was more than a career. She began to realise this was an opportunity to share something of herself with the world.
That confidence led her to complete her formal training, with a degree in Hotel Management. Jodie realised that more awaited her and from there began to looking onto how to share her passions with the world. Seeing friends open small bars themselves gave her the confidence to take the leap.
That’s a scary thought! But the best things in life require taking courageous steps. With the help of her husband Jason and a couple friends they began to explore how it could be done. Things started to snowball as the Crafty Cow manifested into reality. It made sense to focus on what she loved about the industry. Good food, great atmosphere and awesome service.
Smoking meats began as a hobby for Jason. The introduction of Craft beer allowed us to offer a unique touch that fit perfectly with our bar’s name.
Since our doors opened the Crafty cow has focused on giving the Northern Rivers meals made with love.
We hope to continue this tradition for many years to come!

The Crafty Cow Bar and Smokehouse Casuarina is proud to be serving Smoked Meat and Craft Beer to the Northern rivers. Located in the bustling town of Casuarina we’re open seven days a week. On Friday and Saturday we offer live music. We’re also bookable for functions and events!

We’re a 40 minute drive from Byron Bay, 10 minutes from Kingscliff, 15 minutes from Pottsville and 20 minutes from the Gold Coast!
